Job Title:

Lecturer and NERC Independent Research Fellow

Bio:

I am an isotope geochemist and paleoceanographer, with particular interests in understanding the role of continental weathering in the carbon cycle, and the interactions between ocean circulation, ice sheet dynamics, and climate change.

To this end, I use laboratory experiments and paleo-reconstructions of both radiogenic isotopes (e.g. Nd, Pb, Sr) and non-traditional stable isotopes (e.g. Li) in archives such as ocean sediments, deep-sea corals, and speleothems.

Research Interests:

Isotope geochemistry, palaeoclimate, chemical weathering, ocean circulation, ice sheets, carbon cycle, Southern Ocean
