Bio:

After PhD at California Institute of Technology, I enjoy my time as a postdoc in DTM at Carnegie Institution of Washington and as a Scientist at IFREE, JAMSTEC in Japan before coming to University College London. I strive to use critical seismological observations along with relevant theoretical and numerical grounds to uncover fine details of the Earth’s interior and discuss/validate relevant processes operating on the planet and governing earthquakes/volcanic genesis. Latest efforts focus on novel observations probing lithosphere-asthenosphere system, core-mantle boundary, and the use of volcano seismology to interrogate intra-crustal magma/gas transport. |

Teh-Ru Alex Song currently has the following exemplar projects advertised:
- Illuminate intra-crustal magma/gas transport beneath active volcanoes with very long-period tremors (VLP) (Solid Earth Dynamics)
- Mapping Core-mantle boundary anisotropy with core-reflected P waves (Solid Earth Dynamics)
Teh-Ru Alex Song does not currently supervise any London NERC DTP PhD students
