Professor of Evolutionary Biology |
Bio:
|
Before coming to UCL, I worked at the University of Bristol, Cardiff, ZSL, and UCL, as well as spending periods working at Universities in Spain and Australia. Our research group works mostly on insects and plants, using a combination of ecological field experiments, and genetic and genomic analysis to understand evolutionary responses to environmental change. Currently we are conducting field experiments in tropical Australia, the UK, and in Sicily. |
Research Interests:
|
I am interested in what causes limits to adaptation in nature, and how these drive the formation and structure of ecological communities, as well as their resilience in the face of environmental change. Understanding and predicting evolutionary responses demands research into population ecology and genetics, life history evolution, as well as genome evolution and speciation. |
