#DTPCalifornia Field Trip Photo Contest

Covering the broad spectrum of NERC research, from geology to ecology, we are looking for stunning images that capture the natural world, as seen during the 2016 #DTPCalifornia Field Course. Cohort 2 students can enter our photo contest for a chance to win a £50 Amazon voucher!


We are accepting images in two categories:

  • Geology Rocks – images of the non-living natural world (abiotic)
  • Califauna – images of the living natural world (biotic)

You may enter up to two images per category. You must be a registered student of the London NERC DTP to enter. Please read our full rules before entering.

Competition Opens: 1st April 12:00 GMT

Deadline for Entries: 14th April 12:00 GMT
Voting Begins: 15th April 12:00 GMT
Voting Ends: 29th April 17:00 GMT
Winners Announced: 1st May 17:00 GMT

Rules
  • You must be a registered student of the 2015 London Natural Environment Research Council Doctoral Training Partnership, and have attended the DTP California field trip in March 2016 to enter.
  • Each entrant may enter a maximum of four images each, two per category.
  • All images entered must have been taken during the DTP California field trip in March 2016.
  • Images must be no larger than 2.5MB
  • Please include a title and brief description for each entry, including details of any editing.
  • Winners will be determined by a public vote, with prizes going to one winner and two runners up in each category. In the event of a draw, the winning entry will be chosen by the DTP photo competition panel (Mark Maslin, Claire Asher, Marianne Knight and Anna Mkhitaryan).
  • By entering an image in this competition you grant the London NERC DTP the right to use this image for promotional material, with appropriate credit, both online and in print.
Prizes

One winner in each category will receive a £50 Gift Voucher
Two runners up will each receive a £20 Gift Voucher
