Host a DTP Internship

The London NERC DTP has been awarded funding as part of the UK National Productivity Investment Fund (NPIF) to host Innovation Placements in 2020, and we would like to invite applications from our associate partners to host a student internship placement.  

These placements are intended to enable and encourage PhD students and postdoctoral graduates to explore impact from their research and develop links between academia and industry, sharing knowledge and skills, and increasing mobility and flow of talent between these sectors. The placement project must include demonstrable links with the UK Industrial Strategy.

We are accepting proposals for two types of internship:
1.Three-month PhD internship

Rules

  • Funding includes a stipend for the student, as well as £1000 towards expenses incurred by the host organisation.
  • Internships must not cross academic years.
  • A maximum of two project proposals per organisation.

Please provide a description of the internship placement, including details of the activities the student would take part in, where they would be based and the overall aims of the project.

By submitting this form you agree for the London NERC DTP to process your data in order to short-list and recruit NPIF Innovation Placements. If your application to host a student is unsuccessful, your data will be deleted after 1 year.
