Please outline why you wish to be considered for this placement:

The core of this project is evaluating humanity’s impact on the climate throughout history. My academic background is in physics, with a particular focus on climate-related modules, which aligns with this strongly. My degree so far, has equipped me with a strong foundation in the physical principles underlying climate science, as well as the analytical and problem-solving skills necessary to tackle complex environmental issues that will aid me in the completion of this project. I am very eager to properly apply these skills to make a positive change and contribute to the vast body of knowledge in this field.

Combatting climate change is my biggest passion and overarching goal in my professional life. I am deeply committed to leveraging my scientific expertise to contribute meaningfully to efforts aimed at mitigating the impacts of climate change and promoting sustainability. Therefore, the opportunity to participate in a project that explores the onset and implications of the Anthropocene is both intellectually stimulating and personally fulfilling. By engaging in this project, I aim to deepen my understanding of climate dynamics, improve my research skills, and ultimately, make a tangible difference in the global fight against climate change.
