Sense about Science are running a Policy Engagement for Researchers online workshop for early career researchers (ECRs) on 29 July from 9:30-13:00, as part of our Voice of Young Science network. The workshop is FREE for STEM and social science early career researchers, trainees and medical professionals.
The aim of the workshop is to encourage ECRs to learn about what policy is and get a breakdown of the British policymaking landscape, understand the societal and personal benefits of getting involved, how evidence is used in policymaking and the routes to engage with policymakers. It is a great opportunity for ECRs to take away tangible and practical policy engagement ideas.
The session will include a policy panel where ECRs can learn what is expected of them from policy experts as well as useful tips and tricks from the panellists and each other when engaging with the policy world.
