This is an exciting time to use your scientific skills to support the Environment Agency’s work. We need to understand and prepare for a world of changing weather patterns, extreme events and habitat shifts. The journey to Net Zero will also alter our environment and we are at the forefront of thinking about what is needed to manage this transition. We need to do this in a way that creates a fairer place for those most vulnerable to the pressures of a changing environment.
The Environment Agency are looking for three experienced research scientists who have the vision and drive to meet these challenges to join their national Climate Change and Resource Efficiency Research team, part of the Environment Agency’s Chief Scientist’s Group. The team provides evidence and analysis to underpin regulation and advice. They’re looking for research scientists with proven experience analysing environmental data and applying the outputs to help decision makers.
