Future Leap are holding the second year of our annual Festival of Sustainable Business, including an exhibition which is free and open to the public. In addition to 58 exhibitors, there will be a sustainable transport zone, a ‘COP Traction on Action’ talks stage and a café/networking space. It will be held at We The Curious on the 23rd June 2022, from 9am-5pm.
The mission at Future Leap is to help facilitate and accelerate the success of sustainable businesses and practices which protect people and our planetary home while still being profitable.
The exhibition will act as an environmental careers fair as the students will have the opportunity to see the range of companies which exist in this field, as well as ask questions regarding job roles and opportunities. This is an opportunity to build your networking skills and confidence to interact in this kind of professional setting. The COP Traction on Action talks stage will encourage accessible learning and debate around key environmental issues.
This exhibition also aims to act as something of an eco-anxiety antidote. A study of 10,000 16-25 year olds found almost two-thirds were “very or extremely worried” about climate change. Events like this festival, which display specific solutions, can help to turn despair to hope, and immobilisation to action. It is critical that young people are positively engaged in order to rise to the scale of this challenge.
An attendee at the 2019 exhibition remarked that this event is for “those who care about the environment and have a passion to find solutions”.
