EDI newsletter contributions

Many of you may already know that we have been running a monthly EDI newsletter for the past year, as part of the student-led EDI group. We are currently looking for people to get involved in helping to write the newsletter with a goal to try and make it as representative of the EDI student group and the wider DTP as possible. We are looking to sign people up to provide one-off content for the following sections:

• Introduction
• Upcoming Events
• What can you do?
• Featured Item (e.g., can be a short column of c. 500 words, discussion article, opinion piece, interview transcript, poster, etc.)
• Featured Video (e.g., a spoken opinion piece, animation, interview, etc.)
• Key Dates
• Further Reading

Each issue is based on a theme, with the upcoming issues based on Women in STEM (March), Stress awareness (April), and mental health (May). Contributions are credited at the end of the newsletter, and feature items are also credited in-text, so it’s also a great thing to add to your CV! If any of these themes take your fancy, or if you have a different topic you would like to contribute on, please get in touch with us, either to phdsforedi@gmail.com or directly to Emily emily.watt.20@ucl.ac.uk .
