Public Engagement Opportunity; Brighton

Newly formed charity Curiosity Sussex are looking for researchers interested in communicating their science at this years’ Brighton WonderFest; a one-day festival celebrating the wonder of the world around us.
Brighton WonderFest will be a free event taking place at Brighton Racecourse on Saturday 26th October 2019. The theme is ‘Futures’ and they are inviting submissions from anyone who has ideas on how to make our future the best it could be – scientists, engineers, artists, innovators; everyone is welcome.
This event replaces Brighton Science Festival’s Bright Sparks, which you may have been involved with in the past. They’re looking to host interactive activities that demonstrate big ideas for the future and encourage discussion while sparking new ideas.
This is an excellent opportunity for NERC researchers to discuss how their science is shaping the future; and those who are interested can borrow the NERC Operation Earth Kit.
If you’re interested, more information include how to apply may be found at www.brightonwonderfest.com, or please contact Jacqueline Currie jacqueline@thecuriosityhub.com The deadline for submissions is 26th July

Deadline: July 26, 2019
