The UK GEO-CEOS Office is organising a workshop day in London on 1st July with a focus on International Earth Observation. The aim is to share knowledge and increase join-up between UK EO-related activities and the international convening activities of GEO and CEOS; to explore and showcase UK projects exploiting EO for societal benefit, policy and international development; and to identify and promote public, research and commercial EO capabilities and their value in the digital, environmental and non-space economy.
The event is being hosted by the National Centre for Earth Observation (NCEO) on behalf of Defra, the UK Space Agency (UKSA), and the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC). DFID and BEIS have also contributed to the shape of the programme and are supporting the day. It represents a key opportunity to showcase the UK’s work through an international lens, to articulate the benefits that international engagement brings to the UK and its international partners and to engage and collate best practice ahead of important meetings, particularly the GEO Ministerial in November 2019.
The meeting will include and be of interest to stakeholders from government, industry and research interested in working strategically and collaboratively across the globe. There is opportunity to register to give a rapidfire talks: please see the registration page for further details.
