The 1st RMetS Climate Change Forum taking place at Coin Street Conference Centre (London) on 4th June 2019.
The forum runs under the theme “Risks and Resilience: Emerging challenges in a post Paris world”. This event brings together the UK climate science community and is a unique chance to discuss current needs, research challenges and policy requirements in an interdisciplinary way.
Although the focus of the event is on climate change, communication and effective dialogue plays an important role throughout the day. We have a round table discussion in the afternoon dedicated to public outreach and how to make (climate change) science relevant to the public.
The extended poster session over lunch features recent highlights in climate change research including natural, social sciences and interdisciplinary research approaches. It also covers climate actions from the private and public sector, science communication and the science-policy dialogue. To involve everybody into the discussions we ask for posters to be presented in plain language.
Abstracts for poster presentations are still being accepted. Please visit this page to view the full programme, register and submit an abstract: https://www.rmets.org/event/1st-rmets-climate-change-forum
