|The Field Studies Council is hosting two research events at their field stations in Millport and Slapton, which may be of interest.
Saturday 13th October
2nd Research Seminar at FSC Millport, Isle of Cumbrae, North Ayrshire
Millport Field Centre has been part of the FSC since 2014 and has a long and illustrious history as a Marine Biological Station carrying out marine research since 1897. Its 2nd FSC research symposium will showcase marine and coastal research and conservation and educational projects being carried out around Firth of Clyde and further afield.

Slapton Research Seminar 2018 at FSC Slapton Ley, Devon
Located on the spectacular Start Bay coastline, Slapton Ley is the largest freshwater lake in the South West, with the shingle beach of Slapton Sands running between the Ley and the sea. Behind is situated a contrasting mix of ancient woodland, open pasture and dense reed beds, all of which constitute Slapton Ley National Nature Reserve.
For over 30 years the Nature Reserve and Field Centre have hosted an annual research seminar to provide a platform for a wide variety of research interests linked to this area.
