The London NERC DTP seeks to establish close links with a variety of external organisations and build a network of Associate Partners. We seek to make connections with organisations that have a wealth of well-established links (for example, industry, NGOs and the public sector) for research and training purposes.
These links offer the potential for collaborative research projects, CASE studentships, internships, consultancy and advisory roles. We believe these mutually beneficial collaborative experiences lead to enhanced commercial and enterprise skills for our students, and offer our associate partners access to a pool of motivated, high-quality PhD students undertaking cutting-edge research relevant to their organisations’ priorities and objectives. The DTP provides opportunities to explore novel research collaborations and strengthen current partnerships.
We have established links with over 40 organisations including:
Agip, Arcadis Ltd, AstraZeneca, Astrium, British Antarctic Survey, Broads Authority, BUCEFAS, CEFAS, CEH Wallingford, ChemTrust, DEFRA, Department of Health, Environment Agency, FERA, Fluid Dynamics, Forestry Research, Glaxo, Highlands Birchwoods, Infoterra Ltd, Natural England, National Lobster Hatchery, Meteorological Office, MI Swaco, Museum of London Archaeology, Oceanographic Laboratory, Permian Capital Ltd, Pfizer, Proudman Laboratories, Quantemol, Rezatec, Risk Management Solutions, Royal Geographical Society, RSPB, SAERI, SAFHOS, Scottish Crop Research Institute, South East Rivers Trust, SERCON, STFC Laboratories, Thames Water, The Eden Project, The Brilliant Club, Transmitting Science, UHI, Willis Re, ZSL Conservation Programmes.
Become an Associate Partner
Associate partner organisations are listed on our website, and are given the opportunity to attend our Meet the Associate Partners event each November, where they have the chance to introduce their organisation's research interests, and network with our newest cohort of students to shape and develop research projects that address relevant real-world problems. They also receive updates on opportunities and events within the DTP, such as internships, studentships and collaboration opportunities.
If your organisation would like to become an Associate partner of the DTP please complete this brief form and we will be in touch.
