Frontiers in Natural Environment Research Student Conference

24th – 25th August

Imperial College, London

Frontiers in Natural Environmental Research Joint Student Conference

The 2017 student-led inter-DTP conference, Frontiers in Natural Environmental Research, will be held in London this August for students and supervisors from the London NERC DTP, London SSCP DTP, and Reading & Surrey SCENARIO DTP. It offers a fantastic place to present your work to peers in a relaxed and engaging environment, and network across the three DTPs.

Key themes will be science communication and cross-disciplinary collaboration. The conference will be a fantastic opportunity to showcase the students’ progress. The scientific programme will include both oral and poster presentations by the students, workshops and talks by two keynote speakers.

  • For the London NERC DTP it is mandatory for cohort 2 to either present a poster or give a talk.
Cohort 3 are strongly encouraged to give a talk or a poster and cohort 1 are more than welcome to apply for either.
  • For the London SSCP DTP it is mandatory for cohort 2 to present a talk and for cohort 3 to give a poster.
Cohort 1 are more than welcome to apply for either.
  • Although it is not mandatory for the SCENARIO DTP students to present a talk or poster they are strongly encouraged to so, and we hope to have some balance among the DTPs in both talks and posters.
  • Cohort 4, supervisors, DTP organisers, and associate partners are all warmly invited to attend.

Registration and Abstract Submission

Please register by the 21st July using the registration form. Students from all DTPs are invited to submit an abstract for a poster or oral presentation, the deadline for abstract submission is the 21st July.
